My Day at Work

Saturday morning I got up bright and early at 5:20 am. You ask why? Well it wasn't because of the kids but it was because of work. Saturday morning I had to be in Heber at the UVSC Wasatch Campus by 7:00 am. Initially getting up was really difficult but once I was up and showered it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed driving through beautiful Provo Canyon in the early morning. It gave me a lot of time to think and to enjoy being by myself. (Plus good tunes on the Ipod is always nice).
So why was I driving to the Wasatch Campus so early? Well I had the opportunity to be a room supervisor for the ACT test. It was actually a lot of fun. I checked in the students in my room, passed out the test, read the directions, proctored the room while they were testing. It was nice. I couldn't read while they were testing, so I was forced to be with just my thoughts. At first I thought it was going to be boring, but I guess I have more thoughts than I had thought (he-he). I enjoyed thinking about the lesson, I was to teach on Sunday, (It was lesson # 7 "Christ and the Atonement, in the WW manual.. My lesson turned out really nice by the way),I enjoyed thinking about Louis and the kids, what my kids will be like when they're teenagers, what it will be like when they are in school, what it will be like when Lou graduates and what it would be like if I ever work outside the home again.
It was a great experience and a nice way to make a little extra money.

That's nice that you were able to work for a day. Did Lou watch the kids or a sitter? So nice to be able to just think sometimes. I also love getting up early. I've done it so long now that I actually wake up before the alarm usually! (: Glad you had that opportunity.
