One of my favorite things to do is sew, although I am just a beginner. In less than a year I have taken 3 sewing classes. When I was younger I always wanted to know how to sew because I was so impressed with my Grandma Field. Grandma Field could sew anything. I remember a pink dress that she made me for my 7th birthday, it was one of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. Grandma made clothes for the dolls that we played with at her house, and Dad always talked about how Grandma sewed his clothes growing up and even his backpacks for school. I always wanted to have the talent that my Grandma Field had. I want to beable to make things for my family and
friends, to show them how much I love and care for them.

I made Kira this dress several months ago and realized on Sunday when she wore it that we hadn't taken a picture of her in it yet. So what do you think? Isn't'she adorable.

That's really cute. I love the color and pattern. I too wish I could sew. My mom always made our clothes when I was really little, and when my sister was really little, would make matching doll clothes to her clothes. Kira is lucky. And cute. :)
Diana,
Darling job! She is such a cutie and getting so big. The side profile looks so much like her mama! Lucky girl! Is that the same material you made your skirt from a while back? You are such a talented person. That is one of my goals, too, to be able to sew like both my moms can. Love you!

What a wonderful job you did on Kira's dress. Mom is right! Grandma would have been (and is,) so proud of you and excited that you were inspired by her to do what I feel is amazingly hard thing to do. I take crocheting any time over sewing, since it has never really made much sense to me. It never amazes me how many various things that you can do and do so well, you are someone that I look up to!
I love you, Sandi
That is a way cute dress, great job! I hopefully will have more time to sew this summer as well.
