this pictures is from last March when Sharon last visited
We had a great weekend. Sharon and Rich are in town with their kids, which we absolutely love. We were able to drive to Midway on Wednesday to meet them at their family's cabin and have dinner with them. It was a childless night, our neighbor watched our kids and Sharon's mother-in-law watched Sharon's kids. They made us a yummy dinner of bbq terriyaki chicken, funeral potatoes, corn on the cob and delicious Minute Maid Berry Punch. We watched "Lost" and played "Blokus" It was fun to be able to spend time with them. We were having a good time thinking about how carefree life is when no kids are around. I also was able to give Sharon all my materinity clothes to borrow. It was a nice feeling since I feel that I've needed them so much and borrowed so much from her the last couple of years.
We weren't able to take our hike again yesterday, this time because Kira has a really bad diaper rash. Hopefully someday soon we can take the hike.
Yesterday we did go to Midway for the short time between the kid's last naps and their bed time. The whole Finlinson clan was there this time, it was nice to see everyone again. The kids were a little shy around so many people but eventually they warmed up to Sharon and Rich. Kira warmed up to Rich and Josh to Sharon. Kira has been acting really shy around people again. She was shy around Joshy's age but hasn't been forever and all of the sudden it's started up again.. we don't really know why.
Finally, my lesson went great. There was great participation from so many sisters. Friday after I blogged about it and working on it again last night my mind just seemed to open and everything fell into place.
I hope everyone had a great weekend and can't wait to hear about them.
Jessie, congrats on your new calling, you are already doing great :)

I had some really great ideas, but as always, you have solved your own problems and did an awesome job and I am sure inspired your Relief Society sisters. I for a fun thought use my blogger as part of my journal, every few months I print out what I blogged and the comments so that I have them to remember which ofcourse has pictures also so that it is remembered in print and pic. I do this in case the blogger goes down for whatever reason. But it is really fun to look back at a soft copy of my blog and the kids really enjoy the pictures (since I am being really bad at my photo's being in an album lately.)
We have been gone for the last 2 weeks off and on, first for Youth Conference, then to Bullfrog at Lake Powell, that was really fun! The fourth was not the same since they banned fireworks at the lake and so I made sure that we had a fun dinner time with marinaded steaks, mashed potatoes & gravy (kyler's choice), watermelon, strawberry shortcake and red, white and blue sprinkled cookies!
I am glad that you enjoyed having Sharon around, they are coming here on Friday and then leaving Saturday, too short if it was my choice, but things got confused and Trina is getting married Thursday. Anyway, I was wondering if on Thursday we could go to lunch? Let me know what you think, Okay?
Love always, Sandi
What points did you end up covering in your lesson? I'm curious. I passed by our relief society room on Sunday and saw a ton of stuff on the board, a big display on the table and everyone hugging and crying so I'm bummed I didn't get to hear it since I'm in primary. Maybe you could post it.
