This past Friday after the kids woke up from their afternoon naps we headed to Target as a family. I love the store Target, it's clean, organized and has great products. The reason for the whole family trip was to pick up a late birthday present from my parents and aunt to Joshua. They gave us a check and pictures of what they wanted us to get him and where to buy it. I think it's a great idea so they don't have to spend extra money shipping especially with what they wanted to get him this time.
Kira and Josh have had so much fun on this little bike, they are sharing really well, sometimes Kira isn't too good at that with Josh. Kira loves to push Josh on the bike and then ride it herself.
While we were driving home from Target, Nana called to talk to Kira. (funny how parents now love to talk to their grandkids more than their own kids :)). Kira told Nana all about the bike, that it was for Josh, that it came in a big box...etc. Kira was talking about a lot of things and all of the sudden clear as day Kira said "pardon me". Lou and I just cracked up laughing, she sounded so cute.
That night we had frozen pizza and hotwings for dinner since we can't afford to eat out too often, that's our fun meal. We watched the movie The Italian Job for our date night. (Thanks to Jessie and Timm for lending it to us.)
Sunday we went to Isaac Uffenorde baby blessing. Isaac is the son of some of our best friends, Alyssa and Jared. We met Alyssa and Jared in the first ward we attended when we were married and have been friends ever since. Alyssa and I love to get together every week for Kira and Kyah to play and for us to chat. Alyssa sewed Kira's beautiful blessing dress, threw us a baby barbecue before Kira was born, has brought over countless meals, has watched Kira countless times, and even cleaned my bathrooms after Josh was born. Most of all Alyssa has always been there for me. The blessing was of course lovely, beautiful things were said in it to little Isaac.
Sunday night we had a game night with Jessie, Timm, Charlotte (Jessie's cousin),and Kenny and Jessica. So much fun, so many laughs. Hopefully it will be a recurring game night.

A few weeks ago I heard Kaitlin say, "Oh my gosh!" It was so funny. Kids are so cute when they say things they hear us say. Such little mimicks!
It sounds like you had a great holdiay weekend. I love Target, too. I can't get enough of it.
That bike is so cute. Does it satisfy Kira's desire for a bike? I have had fun talking with her on the phone. I can't wait until Josh will talk to me. I wish I had recognized the "pardon me" when Kira said it. I could hear you laughing, but didn't know what she had said. I will try very hard to call when the kids are awake so I can talk to Kira. I don't want her to forget me.
