Yea, Lou is home!!! If you can't tell I am excited. We have hardly spent anytime apart from eachother since we have been married. When Lou and I first started to date he went home to Oklahoma (his parents were living there at the time, Lou actually grew up in Boise and his parents are in Singapore now) for his sister's, Miriam's highschool graduation. Lou was gone less than a week but it seemed like an eternity. We talked on the phone several times a day for long periods of time. Lou's mom still teases us about that, we weren't telling people that we were dating (we had only known eachother a few weeks at that point) so when Lou's mom would ask who he was talking to he would answer by saying "she's just a friend", no one in Lou's family believed him, and well they were right, we were definetely more than friends at that point. It's funny that I missed him just as much now as I did then when things were so new and exciting. I am so happy that Louis is home. The only other extended time we had apart was the summer of 2003. My sister Sharon just had her baby, Indigo, I went out 10 days before Louis flew out. That was hard too, but I think it was harder on Louis since he was stuck working and at home and I was in Miami with my sister.
This past weekend turned out pretty good. I spent a lot of time with friends. My good friend Jessica Hammond came over last night, we watched Pride and Prejudice and talked and talked and talked. It was really nice, most of the time we hang out with eachother when our husbands are around so it was nice to have some girl time with each other. My sweet cousin/friend Karli called last night to check up on my lonely weekend so it was a speical treat to talk to her too.
Although the weekend was great I am so happy Lou is home!!!!!

Glad he is home and that you were able to spend time with all sorts of friends this weekend. That always makes the time go faster :)
I'm glad you survived. When Jeremy and I were first married we decided that freguent short seperations were a really good thing for our marriage. Every few months now he goes away--usually with Kaitlin--and gives me some alone time at home, which I desperately crave! Although it was hard for you to be away from Lou, it sounds like you had a pretty good time! Sometimes it's nice to just be on your own even if your have kids. Hey--they go to bed and then you have a lot of time to yourself!
