Kira always does things that surprise me, she's constantly learning new things and doing new things. It's one of the greatest parts about having a 2 year old, is how rapidly they learn. This morning when the kids woke up I got Josh from his room and then we went to Kira's room to get her. I always put Josh in Kira's crib because they both get such a kick out of being in the same bed. We said our prayers like normal but it was so cute one of the things that Kira said in the prayer that just melted my heart. She blessed everyone (me, Lou, Josh, Nana, Grandma, Mark etc...) she could think of in our family then she blessed Lou and his "owy (his gross finger) that it will go away", those were Kira's exacts words. I thought oh what a sweetheart, it was one of those moments where I wished I just walked around with a tape recorder. We then preceded to give Kira a bath, we turned on their music, one of the songs was about a dog chasing cats all night.. Kira got really excited and started singing along "meow, night" We haven't listened to that particular CD in awhile, I was so impressed she picked up on the words. Later when we were downstairs while Josh was drinking his bottle and Kira was drinking her milk, I called Jessie to ask if she was going to the RS retreat tonight, Kira got on her cell phone(Lou's old phone) called Daddy and told him that Mama was talking to Jessie. She then "told Daddy" that Jessie has cats and they were getting chased by dogs all night (going back to the song she heard). It was one of the funniest pretend conversations she's ever had.
I love being Kira and Josh's mom, it is so much fun. I love all the things that they do during the day that entertain me to no end.
I thought Kira looked so cute in her little outfit today I had to get a picture, she saw the camera, instantly grabbed her duck and told me that ducky had to be in the picture too. It was her idea to hug the duck in the picture.

ps. Went out to the mailbox this afternoon and had a cute little note from Jill, the envelope was fat so I was really excited to open it, it had these cute little good mail from Diana tags in it and D tags in it. Jill is so thoughtful.

Diana,
Kira is getting so grown up! I have to see you guys soon so she'll know us and talk to us. I love that age. What good friends you have! That was sweet of Jill to send you those way cute tags.
What is your RS retreat? Are you going? What are you doing for it? That sounds fun. Hope Lou's finger is feeling better. Zac hasn't talked to him in a while, so he needs to check up on him. Hope the rest of your day went well.
LOve, Karli
I love hearing about the cute things kids say!
