ENT

Josh finally got to the see the ear specialist today and I got my first speeding ticket today. I somehow got lost going to the specialist and it made me run late so I was hurry when I saw a policeman behind me. He turned on this lights and I didn't really think anything about it because well I've never been pulled over. I told him my situation that my son had to go to the doctor I got lost so now we're late... he didn't care. He still gave me a ticket. I drove away feeling upset with the policeman, I thought surely he has better things to be doing than pulling a young mother over who's rushing her kid to the doctor. For example he could be returning the many many phone messages that I have left with the Provo Police Department regarding my son's ss# identity theft. Oh well. I found the doctor's it ended up being 5 minutes from my house. I felt pretty dumb for getting lost. Filling out the thousands of pages that they make you fill out on the first visit kept my mind off my ticket Josh just played with my keys and stood right by me the whole time.. he made it really easy, I even got to read my book while we were waiting to go back to see the doctor. The doctor was really nice, he basically said from the moment we got in there that Josh would get tubes because of what our doctor wrote on the referral form. The doctor had a tiny little camera that let us see inside Joshy's ear on a TV screen. Josh did so well, he hardly cried except for when the doctor first touched him. I thought it was pretty cool and gross (the wax factor) seeing in my son's ear. We scheduled the appointment for this Thursday Nov 2. I cannot wait for Josh to have this done so we can hopefully have an ear infection free winter.

Sorry about your ticket. I got pulled over one time for having my brights on and it was scary! Hopefully the fee isn't too much. Cops can certainly be unfeeling. I agree that they should have better things to do. BTW, did you ever figure out J's ss# problem? That is not fun at all. I'm glad Josh's appointment went well. Let us know how the tube appointment goes...Do you know exactly what it entails? I'd like to know more about the process. Thinking of you!

The ticket sucks- I always remind myself when I am in a hurry that if I get pulled over it would make me even more late. Doesn't always keep the speed down though :/

So glad they are going to be able to do the tubes so quickly. Where are they doing them? Mya and I would love to come and watch Kira or have her over when he needs to go in. I bet they would have a blast. Just let me know what help you need!

so yucky about the ticket!

my husband is an ENT and I have no idea what he does so i am excited to ask him about the camera thing.

what is so funny that with my three kids not one has had an ear infection.

Sorry about the speeking ticket. Why do they always seem to happen when you're in a hurry to get somewhere important? How many other times have you been speeding just because and never been caught? I am happy that the dr appointment went well. I hope the tubes do the trick and the poor little Josh has his ear infection free winter.

Did you go to Dr. Robins? He is excellent. He did tubes for Lucas twice and we love him. Crossing my fingers for you!

I hope everything goes smoothly for Josh on Thursday! How nice to get it done so soon!

And getting pulled over is a total bummer. I've only had it happen once on my way back to CO, and I hope that stays the only time.

That seriously sucks that you got a speeding ticket on your way to the doctor. I'm still reeling from the speeding ticket I got back in August. I'm much more conscientious of my speed, especially on the street I got the ticket (which I drive on multiple times a day).

I hope the tubes go well!

I hate speeding tickets! The very first time I ever got pulled over while driving I got a $120 speeding ticket (it was reduced to $80 if I sent it in before my court date). The most frustrating part for me was the fact that my best friend got pulled over all time for speeding more than I speed and never got a ticket! Good grief! I can definitely sympathize with you! Good luck with the ear tubes and I'll see you on Wednesday for another exciting evening of LOST!

Hi,
Glad to hear about Josh getting tubes. We will be enroute to Milwaukee, so we will call you when we arrive to see how everything goes. Call Miriam if you need anything.
Love
Mom

When you say "ENT" you are refering to the tree creatures from the Lord of the Rings aren't you? I didn't know they were doctors too.
