Kira and Josh

Kira is constantly amazing me with her imagination. I love that she is growing up and able to make things up, she turns soup into cake, she pretends she's a mommy to her dolls, she just does so many cute things. Lately, she has been naming objects after people in our family, today she named my thread. Kira and I are the pink threads, Nana is read, Lou is brown, and Mark is gray. I don't know why she didn't have a color for Josh, he's usually included with her games like this. I thought it was histarichal, she was moving them around, having them talk to each other. She was very excited to introduce me to each of her spools of thread. Oh, to have the creativity of a 2 year old. OH just a little update, Kira is becoming a bigger neat freak every day. We were watching Mickey's Christmas and they had a cartoon of the Chipmunks and pluto, in the cartoon the Chipmunks spilled nuts all over and destroyed Mickey's Christmas tree, Kira was very worried about it, she said oh no, mess. I had to tell her Mickey would clean it up. Even when she is eating and she gets a tiny bit of food on her hands, she says mommy mess, me wash. It's so funny to see her little personality coming through.

Lou and I were talking last night, of how wonderful it will be when our kids are old enough to clean themselves up after meals, to clear there own plates and put them in the dishwasher, to put themselves to bed... It seems so far away, I can't even imagine my kids being old enough to do things like that. I will love it when Josh can feed himself everything, now he can only do somethings. Today for lunch we had sloppy joes, Josh fed himself and turned himself into a sloppy Josh.

Your kids are so cute. I love hearing about their little quirks. They make me laugh. It will be nice when they are more independent, but when that happens you'll probably miss these days of when they needed you to do everything for them! (: Give them and Lou big hugs for us and have him give you a big one back from us. Love you!
