Saturday night I went to the Provo Tabernacle to attend the Handel Messiah sing-a-long. I have only attended a Messiah sing-a-long once before, my senior year in high school. My senior year we went to the Utah oratorio Society, it was very good. The Messiah at the Provo Tabernacle was also very good. I'm always impressed with the talent that we have in Utah Valley. My friend, Alyssa invited me to go with her a few weeks ago. I love that she invited me, I never think of going to these things myself anymore.
While listening to the music that Handel wrote hundreds of years ago my testimony grew. It was exactly what I needed to hear and have my spirit feel. Life has been so busy lately for our little family, I tend to forget the reason why we are busy. I had been really stressed out about everything I needed to get done before I leave on my trip. As I was listening to the scriptures put to music I remembered that it is a very special time of year, I time to remember the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus is the Son of God. I know that Heavenly Father sent his Son to earth, to live the perfect life, to give us an example to follow. Jesus Christ gave his life so we could all live eternally. I have been calmer this week, even though it's an extremely busy week, remembering why we truly celebrate Christmas.

I have always wanted to go to that, but have never actually gone. There's one at the Alpine Tabernacle (right by us) every year too, so whenever I see the banner posted I think this is going to be year, but it never is!
I'm glad you got to go and that you had all those good feelings. I could use some of those.
Diana,
Sounds like a much needed spiritual night and I am glad you got to experience that. It is so nice to have the opportunity to reevaluate what is really important this time of year and I am grateful that you wrote so eloquently and reminded me, too. You are such a good one and you help me to want to be better. I love you so much.
Love, Karli
I love those moments when the real peaceful meaning of Christmas hits--it puts the craziness into a whole new light! Glad I could see you Tuesday!
I went to that sing-a-long once, long ago! It was so fun. I love to sing that music, it is so uplifting. Thanks for posting your feelings, I need to get tuned into that right now as well.
p.s. I hope your kids are feeling better!
