Another fun weekend!

On Friday night I felt like I was single again. Jessie's husband Timm was helping Robin's husband do a project in the wood shop so they decided to have a girls night. They invited me to join in too. We also had Charlotte and her friend Kaitlin and my friend Jessica. Let me tell you we had so much fun. Lou went over to Kenny's to play the Wii so he was fine with all the girls coming over. We played Cranium Pop 5. (I think Jessie and I should receive commission from Cranium for all the advertising we do for them :)). We developed a tiddlywink game with the chips and chip holders that kind of overshadowed the actual game. We were all so addicted to flipping our chips into the holder if anyone would have walked in on us they would have wondered what was going on. Our team (me, Robin and Charlotte) not only won the Pop 5 game but we also beat the other girls in the tiddlywinks chip game. After the game we watched some shark videos on the Internet. We laughed all night long and I don't think there was ever a lull in the conversation or activities. I just love having such good girl friends. It's been a while since I have had so many good friends. It's sad to think that if Lou gets a job out of state that I'll be leaving all my friends behind, or if Timm and Jessie move this summer. I am terrible about staying in touch with people, I am really trying to get better about it in the last few years but it is something that I still definetely need to work on. I don't know why I'm bad at it, it's not like it's out of sight out of mind, I remember everything and think about everything and everyone I guess it' s just putting action into my thoughts.
Saturday we went to the Riverwoods to pick up a birthday present for my sister Sharon, who's 31 st birthday is this Wednesday, yup she's a Valentine's baby. We had a lot of fun, the weather was so nice it felt like a spring day. Sharon, I hope I can get it out in the mail in time for you, if it's late I'm sorry. I always get excited for Sharon's birthday. I get excited because I love her so much and it's fun trying to think of a gift for her and I get excited because it means that my birthday is only 3 weeks away. This year I'm a little nervous though because i leave the 20s .
I went to the mall after the Riverwoods when we brought the kids home for their naps. I got my hair trimmed and had some layers added. I love getting my hair cut it's so relaxing. I also got my ring cleaned. I came home and Kira had just woken up. Lou had to wake her up at 6:15. Kira has been really funny lately. It seems like her naps are all out of whack. either she doesn't nap at all or she does a marathon nap. Ah the joys of a 2 1/2 year old. It will be nice when they day comes when I don't have to worry about naps. I know I"ve been lucky though with naps and night time sleep so I won't complain.
So now I remember why I can't spend more than a 1/2 hour or so at Jessie's house. Lou and I went there last night and spent about almost 2 hours. We once again played Pop 5. I thought to take Benadryl ahead of time but by the time I got home I could hardly breathe even after my shower. I woke up every hour last night with difficulty breathing and today I have felt pretty lousy. I love having Jessie live oh so close but why oh why does she have to love cats so much!
Lou did homework all weekend. I've never seen Louis so busy. This week he will have another busy week. We can't wait for the 3 day weekend!
Oh Kira has finally shown some interst in potty training. Lou put her in her underwear Saturday morning. She stayed dry the entire time whe was in them for about 4 hours. She wouldn't go in the potty but hey it's a start! I did ask her this morning if she wanted to put on her underwear she told me no only when Daddy is home. Well Daddy is not home often enough so we'll have to try to convince her to wear them anyways.
