Kira Can Draw!

I love the time of day when Joshy takes his morning nap. It's nice he's still doing it at 18 months. Josh is up for about an hour in the morning before he goes back down, it's a time where Kira watches Bears (Bernstein bears) and I take my shower and get ready for the day. Lately after I'm done showering Kira and I have our creative time for the day. On Friday I was going to make a card for someone but Kira got very excited and wanted to make a card for her Grandma Field. Kira picked out the blue card, told me it was for Grandma and then proceeded to color it and then pick out little embellishments to glue on it. I think it turned out really cute and I was very excited that she was thinking of my Mom and wanted to make her something. Today we decided to make a "scrapbook". In one of the stories in her Winnie the Pooh book on a rainy day Pooh makes a scrap book well the last couple of days Kira has wanted to do the same thing. Kira and I got out construction paper, ribbons and tape to make her "scrapbook" THe first picture we made was of one when we took the kids on a hike in the snow. Kira drew the enitre thing and it turned out so good. Seh drew mountains, colored the sky blue, the sun yellow she then proceeded to draw each of us. Kira is getting pretty good at drawing stick figures. She even colored each of our coats the right color. Kira even thought to put white ribbon on it for some additional snow. The rest of her pictures turned out pretty good too. I will have to scan the hiking picture and post it because it turned out oh so cute.

Another funny Kira action. Today my visiting teachers came over. Kira likes to talk to them and tell them about her day etc. AFter a while though she kind of gets tired of it and usually goes down stairs or upstairs to play. Well today Kira did something that reminded me so much of my Dad. After about a half hour or more of their visits( the visits usually last nearly an hour.. it doesn't bother me I really like it) Kira went down to the basement and tried to turn the music on the computer. Kira's not allowed to play on the computer without us around. Somhow she was able to get I-Tunes up but couldn't get it to play. She called me downstairs to help her, when I went down I asked her if she wanted to come back up and she said no mom me stay downstairs listen to music until sisters go bye bye. I thought that was so funny and thought Grandpa Field would be proud of her.

Last night we went to the Jazz game. I had such a blast besides the point that the Jazz lost, they played worse then they have in months, my favorite player Deron Williams didn't play and Kobe Bryant went to the line 24 times. It was a lot of fun, I couldn't believe how close we were to the court. The players looked so big compared to how they look on TV. The Jazz played pretty bad but they were in teh ball game and had a chance to win. It gave me hope that if the Jazz meet the Lakers in the playoffs they could win the series pretty easily. The Jazz played their worse ball without their starting pointguard and the Lakers played as well as they pretty much could so I am not afraid if we're matched up with them in the playoffs.

Yes, Please scan the scrapbook! It sounds so adorable!!!!!! But why wouldn't it be? Look at the little girl drawing it- she is gorgeous!

I love the music segment of the entry- yes, it is so like daddy and a few other little people in our family-- namely all of mine!
What a riot Kira is!

I believe that Self-imposed Avoidance is a good thing sometimes, it makes us appreciate the times when we really want to be with others! :>

I love you Diana!
