My Word of the Year

I am very late in posting my word of the year but I figure better late than never. I've enjoyed reading about everyones words for the year. I have thought about it since the beginning of the year when everyone was posting their words, however it has taken me up until today to decide on a word.
The word I have chosen is

CONSTANT

I feel that when I my behavior is constant my life runs so much more smoothly, I have inner peace and I am overall a much happier person. I have always been the type of person that works much better on a schedule, I stress out if I don't know what I'll be doing with my time, if my kids routines change, if things don't go as plan. I have tried to relax and find balance by letting things happen but also taking control of my life. I do not want to just sit around and be acted upon. Here are a few defintions of the word Constant that I felt applied to me.

Faithful; unswerving in love, devotin etc.
steadfast; firm in mind or purpose; resolute
obsolete certain confident

Specific areas of my life that I will be more constant about this year are

1. Studying my Scriptures
I feel that I am good about reading my scriptures every day. I am however am not the best about making the most out of my study. The last few days I have been taking notes again while I read. It makes such a difference for me. I use to do it all the time before my mission, during my mission and a little bit after my mission. I don't know why I got out of the habit but I know I retain and am able to apply to my life what I read what I read so much more easily when I take notes.
2. Exercising
I love going to the gym and feel that I've done pretty well about being consistant about going to the gym. I really want to keep it up, it not only helps my body but it helps me emotionally also.
3 Patience/Love
Having a 2 year old and a one year old my patience is challenged many times a day. I am really working at not stressing when my kids aren't as perfect as I think maybe they should be. I am trying to remember that they are people too. I am also going to be patient in waiting to see what happens in our life. I feel impatience a lot in not knowing of what's going to happen when Lou graduates.
I also want to show more love to my family and friends. I want to show my graditude for everything they do for me
4 Friendship
I know that either we will move or some of our friends will move by the end of the summer. Lou is graduating and so are Timm and Kenny this summer. I will keep in touch with Jessie and Jessica if they move and I will keep in touch with all my good friends if Lou and I move. I've never been good at it but I will make the change.

Constant is my word. I will work hard to keep my goals.

Diana,

Crazy that you posted your word today, because i Had mine all ready to go and post too! And, our words are similar. I think you are already good at many of those things, but I know you will continue to improve. I will have to try taking notes during my scripture study; I bet that helps a ton.

I hope you guys move closer to us...(: Although, I know we'll be close wherever you are. Love you!

Karli

There's no deadline for posting your word for the year so there's no such thing as late.

This is a great word and I like all your reasons. Well done.
