Ha! Did my title get your attention? How many people thought it was a pregnancy announcement? Well I assure you it wasn't and you know we're way too creative to announce it just on our blog :) Probably anyone who reads this blog knows me well enough to know that I am done having babies so you didn't fall for my tricky title.
Anyways today I felt like a "real Mom" I took Kira, Josh and Kyah (Alyssa's girl) to the children's art fair in Springville. My little Camry won't hold 3 car seats so Alyssa was kind enough to let us use her Odyssey. I felt fine driving it since I drove Sharon's quite a few times during my visit to her in December. I met my friends, Jessie, Hannah and Rachelle there however by the time we got there both Jessie and Hannah's kids were about ready to go (they got there an hour earlier than us). We did however did get to hang out with them for a little while and then it was just me and Rachelle. I did have some time to myself while Rachelle took Danny to the bathroom and then the time it took to find us again (it was crazy crowded). I learned a couple of things especially during my time alone with all 3 kids (Kira and Josh were in the stroller, Kyah walking and holding onto the stroller)
1. I am never ever having 3 kids.
2. 3 kids are easier than I thought but I recognize it was just for a few hours.
3. Free events involving children are obscenely crowded in Utah County
4. My kids and my friends kids are really obedient especially in a crowd
5. Other kids aren't as nice or obedient as mine and my friends kids.
6. Joshy still needs 2 naps a day
7. I don't like pushing a double stroller and keeping track of a child on the grass of a crowded event.
8. It's fun to get out of the house (normally our days are dictated by Joshy's naps)
I'm glad we went Kira and Kyah really seemed to enjoy themselves. They were able to color "night pictures" (florescent crayons on black construction paper), make pipe creations, and a book The kids also had the opportunity to get their faces painted. Kyah didn't want to I think she was a little scared. Kira like it for awhile but cried after a little bit and Joshy loved getting his face painted the entire time(who would have ever guessed he would have been the bravest regarding that event). It was funny Kira knew she wanted a pink flower on her face so she asked the girl for it, when Joshy went up I asked what she does for little boys (seeing as I hadn't seen a little boy except for Danny (Rachelle's son) who had a spider and I though umm no way Kira wouldn't want to see a spider on Joshy's face. The girl who was probably about 14 said well anything he wants. I had to laugh to myself a little bit seeing as Josh would never beable to express what he wants painted on his face. I decided for him so he got a basketball.
All and all it was a lot of fun. The kids did so well especially with how crowded it was and I think my arms got noticeably stronger for pushing around the double stroller on grass with a crowd for an hour and a half!
Their face paintings are smudged already but you can see how cute they look!

I soooo wish you could have come earlier. Kira would have loved walking around with Mya and Daniel. I still can't believe you took on an extra one- such a good deed.
Mya had a blast doing all the booths she did and I wish I could have stayed longer because she was still into it all. Hopefully tomorrow is a lax day for you so you can all re-charge. It was way more crowded that I thought it would be, but something that I really want to go to again next year because I will be better prepared. And just think- by this time next year, Josh will hopefully be down to just one nap so you won't have that on your list :)
How much fun! I think little outings like that are great and give variety to the daily grind. I'm coming back to Provo at the end of the month for a few days--hopefully I can see you while I'm watching Bella!
