Yesterday was a fabulous day. Lou was able to work from home in the morning so I took Kira swimming with my book club gals and their kids and was able to keep Joshy home for his nap. Despite a rocky start Kira loved it although she still admits to me that it was a little scary. Who would figure that my Kira would be so buoyant, we tried 3 different floating devices before we found one that actually kept her afloat. We discovered a float that worked and didn't take her out of it (except to eat) the rest of the time we were there.
We had fun seeing the different personalities of the kids shine through while in the pool. Kira's reserved personality was on display and she never really freaked out but knew her limitations and her comforts. Mya willing to try everything once tried the slide and decided it wasn't her thing and was done. Bella the little dare devil with no fear wanted to be in the water with no restraints but decided it wasn't worth it if her Mom had to hold her the whole time so she occupied herself throwing toys in the pool. Elise the oldest acted the role, playing independent of her mom (Bridget) most of the time and showing the younger girls what she could do. Joey being the only boy didn't really play with girls but played with his mom or by himself. I think he'll have fun if we bring Joshy next time.
We are hoping to go swimming every Thursday. Kira's only complaint besides being a little afraid was "hey, where's Kyah?"

Cute pictures- glad you brought your camera. I can't believe Mya wouldn't look at the camera...goober. Next time I will make sure she dons her polka dots so we can finally get a pic of the three of them. It was way fun for sure.
That's funny! Kira is so cute! (and I love the pictures)
way cute pics and fun day. I have been swimming at least one day a week and love it. I took swim lessons from 3-13 and am so grateful that I love the water so much now. That is cute that each personality came through so obviously. And, love the matching suits. Way cute! Have fun with Miriam, Sadie, & Ryan this weekend! Love you!
I am ready to go swimming again! My sunburn is in the obsessively peeling stage and no longer hurts. I wore a bra for the first time yesterday (yikes!) which means I'm ready to head back this Thursday.
Looks like a fun time was had by all!
