Most of the pictures I have of my childhood are up in Joshy's room, since he is napping right now I can't get to them. I need to scan them on to the computer. I don't have too many I'll have to get copies of more of them from my mom and my sisters. My Dad sent me this picture not that long ago. I really love it despite our late 80's style hair. I love it because it reminds me of when of my favorite part of my childhood, family vacations. We went on a family vacation every year of my childhood. Mostly we went to California, (the picture is at Newport beach) every year I think Sharon and I tried to convince our parents to by a house on the beach. Eventually they did but unfortunately it was after we all the kids moved out. If we didn't go to CA we would go to to New York or Florida. I loved our vacations, I even loved the drives, listening to the tapes my dad made, singing along, making up games with Sharon in the back seat. I even loved driving across country. WE drove once to New York and once to Florida the rest of the time we flew. I'm happy that it was in my parent's budget to take us on trips I hope we can do the same for Kira and Josh.

That's so cute- it looks just like a younger you. My kids will have to content themselves with quiet family gatherings for vacations at best, due to the budget aspect and the fact that most of us aren't recreators! We do love to not-recreate at the beach however...
At least the 80's hair wasn't the BIG 80's hair. Most of my family vacation memories from childhood involve road trips to Utah from Texas to visit. Nothing fancy like a beach house. That would be so sweet!
