Yesterday

Yesterday was a good day. It was so nice, I got to see Karli. I just love Karli she is such a good friend/cousin. I am very glad that Lou's cousin Zac married Karli. I loved Zac from the first time I met him and then when he brought Karli into our lives it made me love both of them that much more. Lou and Zac have always been very close, it makes me sad that they don't live closer to each other, Karli and I were joking though that if we did live near each other we'd probably never see our husbands because they'd always be together. Yesterday I drove to Springville in the morning to meet Karli at her aunt's house. Kira loved it there she had the undivided attention of Karli, Karli's mom, Karli's aunt and her cousins. Kira was dancing for them pretty much showing off anything she could think to do. Josh on the other hand stayed on my lap and just stayed quiet. Karli's mom, Tammy asked me, so does Josh ever run around, make noise, get into things? I answered no not really he'll run around at home play with his toys and stuff but he's never been the type of kid to get into things or be loud. Tammy replied so he doesn't really do the things that the majority of little boys do. I laughed and said I guess not. I just love my Joshy. I was very happy to hear that Kira is as Karli was when she was a little girl because Karli is such a good friend to everyone and is so social. I'd love for Kira to be that way or continue to be that way as she gets older.
One of the best things that happened at the house was that we were talking about Halloween costumes and I told them how Kira wanted to be Pooh Bear but I wasn't making her costume this year (just too expensive for the faux fur and stuff) and Karli's aunt, Sandi said would you like to borrow one, I made one years ago for my kids. I am so excited because I get a nice homemade costume and don't have to buy one or make it! Kira fell in love with the costume immediately. She wore the hood in the car to her dance class and then later at the mall. After her nap we picked up Daddy and she so wanted to wear the entire costume so I let her she wore it to Target, she got so many smiles. I think she thought she was in her own personal parade, she waved and said hi to people as they smiled at her. Ah to have the confidence and self assurance of a 3 year old!

Other good things that happened yesterday was that we had a party to watch The Office. We have a weekly party with Mark and Robin (which I love) and this week we had the added bonus of having Charlotte and her sister Emily to come and watch also. It was great to see them. I hadn't seen Charlotte since the summer when she came out to watch Bella while Jessie was house hunting. It was fun to see them but of course it made me miss Jessie.
I have felt very blessed lately with the companionship of good friends, something I couldn't say a few months ago although all the same people are in my life. I think I am making a better effort and the Lord is blessing me with the knowledge that I do have good friends in my life (I tend to forget that sometime, I did especially after Jessie moved). I just need to remember that the blessings are always there it's just me that needs to acknowledge them.

I had so much fun watching The Office with you guys last night! We'll definitely have to have a repeat. I love having good friends--it's one of those things I hope I never take for granted.

what a cute post. It is nice to have good friends. I am guilty of getting in my own world and forgetting about my friends. SO I like have book club and playgroup so I make the time to spend with them-which is what I really enjoy more than all the other stuff that seems to fill up a day!
