Yesterday we dropped Lou off at the airport. It was at a good time, we didn't have to get the kids up early to do so. After we dropped him off to Kira's delight we went to Nana and Gramp's house. I planned on just staying for lunch but we were having so much fun we stayed the entire afternoon. It was really nice to see them after they were gone for 2 months. Kira just loved having her Nana back. Kira was very excited to wear a shirt that Nana hadn't seen yet and to wear 2 buns in her hair because she knows Nana likes her hair that way. It was so cute to see Kira at a young age trying to please someone she loves. By the time we got back to Provo we had time to go to the store (Target, I asked Kira if she wanted to go to Target or Albertsons she said Target) get food for dinner. When we got home I was pleasantly surprised to find a package from my parents in the mail box. They sent me cute snowman ornaments and a gingerbread house (foam) to put together. It was such a surprise and really made my day. We had dinner then I put the kids down early (6:30) because they were so tired. I kind of just zoned out in front of the TV the rest of the night, I had aspirations to work on a few projects I have in the works but oh well.
Today was also a good day. My visiting teachers came over which is always so nice (Jessie, Amanda Booth says Hi) they're great girls and I always learn so much from them. They actually shared they same talk that I did with the girls we visit teach so I think that talk must be really important for me to apply to my life (It's the talk Remember Remember by Pres. Eyring) right now. We then went to the library and checked out some Thanksgiving books for the kids and new books for me since I finished all my the books I was loving so much ( The Wednesday Letters, Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life, The Tipping Point and a book by Phil Jackson (basketball related)). I checked out a Christmas book that I won't read yet but thought I'd get now and renew and have it for the the Christmas season and The Last Summer (of you and me) by Ann Brashares (the woman who wrote the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants..but this book is for adults). The kids have been so extraordinarily good the last 2 days it really hasn't been stressful with Lou gone, I miss him of course, but it hasn't been hard (yet). Josh was real cute tonight while we were eating dinner he looked towards the front door and said "uh oh, Daddy" (Lou usually gets home around dinner time) I reminded Josh that Lou wasn't come home tonight he kind of frowned but didn't cry . Hopefully the kids will continue to be good and we can make it till Sunday. Oh tonight's been more productive I did watch the end of the Jazz game (they're on a east coast road trip so all the games are early this week so I can only watch the 4th quarter after I put the kids down) but I worked on my projects while watching so theres improvement there.
Happy Birthday to Hannah!

sounds like you are holding things together great! Good job. Glad you could see J & L too. I bet they missed the kids lots. Have you seen Annie's baby yet?
Did you like The Wednesday Letters? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I loved it. Probably one of my top favorites and I've since started my own tradition and haven't missed in four weeks! Love it.
I'll have to try the others you read as well. Call if you need anything! Love you!

Yay for easy kids and early bedtimes! It's the only way to get through a husband's absence. Good luck on the rest of the projects and the few remaining days.
