Sorry I haven't posted in nearly a week and I haven't commented on blogs. It really is nothing personal and I'll try to catch up. There are 3 main reasons why I haven't been in the blogging world lately (1) I've made a goal to not be on the computer as much during the day (2) Mark is staying with us this week (3) I've been reading a lot during my free time.
So well first off I want to share something my sweet husband did for me. Last Friday Lou had a conference at UVSC and the keynote speaker was Mark Eaton. For those who don't know Mark Eaton played center for the Utah Jazz for 12 years. He is 3rd on the all time list of Block shots and was an all around great defensive player. I don't think any Jazz fans really appreciated him until he wasn't there anymore. I know my Dad and I would yell at him all the time for his mistakes on the offensive end etc. Anyways Lou being the thoughtful husband he is got Mark Eaton's autograph for me. Every day since he got it for me Lou has asked if I've blogged about it yet so now I am doing that :)
Josh is starting to say more words lately. (We know he is a little delayed in expressive speech but the speech pathologist told us there was nothing to worry about) So on Monday I took Joshua to the doctor because I was pretty sure he had another ear infection. Sure enough Josh has an ear infection. Anyways after the appointment we went to Target to get his prescription filled. I let him hold his medicine on the way out of the store he took it out of the paper bag and the syringe and pretended to fill it up and said "yum" That is the first time that Joshy has said yum. I am so glad it's associated with medicine! Josh has has started saying hat (he wore a hat all day Tuesday), car and truck. He has really grown in his language skills this last month. Even though anytime I ask him to say something Kira responses with Mommy, Joshy can't talk he's a baby. I'm trying to stop her from saying that , I don't think it effects Josh but you never know.
Last night I went to the Jazz game that Linc and Lou were going to go to. Linc was so kind to give me the tickets instead. I had such a good time. The Jazz won on a last second shot from D Will. We had Cav fans behind us so that was annoying but we had a great time. The Jazz were in control the entire game and you just knew they'd win. I was in heaven all night. Thanks Linc.
Like I mentioned earlier Mark is staying with us. Mark broke his collar bone and we figured it would be much easier for him to stay with us so he wouldn't have to drive back and forth every day from home to school and plus who wants to be by yourself when you're injured.
A quick update on my Mom. she is home and doing pretty well. I've talked to her and she sounds so good.
Well I know I wanted to blog about more but nothing is really coming to mind so I guess that's it for now. (Sorry Jessie I know this is basically a lot of our conversation today... you know I don't have much to report ever )
Here's some late Halloween pictures. How do you like Lou's tree costume. That's what Kira told him to be months ago.

I check and check and check and finally! Just kidding. Glad to see you back.
Love lou's costume by the way.
Sounds like you've had a lot going on! How fun that you got to go to the Jazz game! And it's great that Josh is starting to say more words. Kaitlin does the same kind of thing when I tell Alex to say something--she actualyl says the word I'm trying to get him to say. So annoying! I'm glad your mom's doing better.

lou's costume is classic! Love it. The kids look cute, too. Glad Josh is starting to talk more. I think my mom and dad had to get pretty firm with me about not talking for Lance anymore, too. He's got to have a chance! (:
Glad you are taking care of Mark and that he has you guys so close. What have you been reading?
Lucas had a lot of ear infections (and 2 sets of tubes) and ended up with long periods of time with hearing loss. His language was delayed as well. We ended up putting him into speech therapy when he was 5 or 6 and now his language is normal. I wonder if Josh is experiencing this as well.
Lou looks so cute in his costume!
