Kira's writing

Kira loves to practice writing her letters. Pretty much 80% of her free time is spent writing. This is a sign that she made me. It's not her best handwriting but I think it's still pretty good for a 3 year old! I'll have to find something with her neatest handwriting. At first she was going to write I love my Mommy but she changed it to Kira instead of I because she loves to write her name, therefore the grammatical error. Lou helped her with the spelling although she can spell all the words on her own on this sign except room.

I was practicing the piano today and was warming up playing out of a Children's songbook that Alyssa gave Kira for her 1st birthday. I was playing the song Rainbow Connection and it reminded me of in 4th grade how on May Day we did the Maypole to that song. Then I was thinking about how in 4th grade I got my teacher to change my handwriting grade to an A- instead of a B+ because I didn't' want any "B's" on my report card. I remember standing at my teacher's (Mrs. Trowbridge) desk and having her show me my grades they were all A's except for my handwriting which was a Bt. I told her I thought I deserved an A because I had been working really hard on my handwriting ( I was I'd practice my handwriting all the time.. I think I thought this thought because of Kira always practicing her writing) and that since grading handwriting was really just her opinion and not based on anything (and yes I did say that to my teacher in 4th grade) couldn't she just change my grade so I wouldn't have any B's. She said yes and changed my grade. I can totally picture Kira doing this to her teacher too :)
