Saturday was just wonderful. Lou and I had a day date and a night date. What more can a mother of 2 young kids ask for?! It is so nice to have family near so we can have days like we had on Saturday. Jeff and Leann volunteered to watch the kids for us so that we could go to the temple together. It was so nice they got to our house at about 2. We went to lunch at Cafe Rio, while at Cafe Rio talked about our future, Lou's career aspirations (which are quite high), just really enjoyed each other's company. We then went to the temple, which is always a beautiful experience. I love attending the temple but attending with Lou makes it even more special. The temple brings a spirit into our lives that is so unique and wonderful that really can't be brought by any other activity. I love feeling the peace the temple brings, I love knowing that I am helping someone else although I feel like I'm quite selfish because of how good the temple makes me feel. I love feeling close to my Savior and to learn more about his life. While sitting in the Celestial room with my sweetheart Louis I felt a peace that I had been looking for for about a month. We sat and talked and I thought this is the purpose of life... loving your spouse, your family knowing what you need to do to be an eternal family.
We had to hurry home because Jeff and Leann had to make it to a wedding reception, we hurried put the kids to bed, Mark came over and Lou and I left again. My "work" was having a staff party at the Marriott center. We were an hour late so all the pizza was gone (which was fine since we were pretty full from Cafe Rio) but the cool thing was that we got to play basketball on the Marriott Center floor. It was so much fun. WE played horse, lightening, one-one-one and just practiced shooting, I got pretty consistent at free-throws and Lou was about 75% from the 3 point line for awhile.
this was our fabulous most perfect day. Sunday was also good. I was able to teach in RS. I taught about Jesus being our Redeemer. I love teaching out of the Joseph Smith manual. The spirit was very strong throughout Relief Society. I love the sisters that I teach. I really feel like we strengthen and edify each other.
Today was kind of a let down since the weekend was so good. I cleaned the house like usual but wasn't too motivated to do anything else. Then I got the mail We got so much good mail today. The kids got cards and candy from Grandma and Grandpa Allen. I got a beautiful card from my sister Sandi and a fun package from sweet Jessie. It made my day.

your dates sound so fun! Zac and I made a goal to make it a priority to have some sort of one on one time at least one day or night a week and i know it's so important to do that.

I'm glad you had such a great day. Jeremy and I had a day to ourselves on Saturday. It really rejuvenates your relationship, doesn't it?
i can't believe you got it that fast! I sent it on Saturday! Wahoo for USPS! Glad to help your mood :) love you.
That does sound like a most excellent weekend! And I'm glad that you had someone to come and watch your kids--I'm sorry I couldn't help you out!
Diana-
I like Jessie am really surprised to see that my valentine card made it so fast. wonder why the other letter didn't make it, but so exciting for you to get the cutest card of all!
I love when Matt and I get to spend alone time together. We have been trying to do that more often since we have come to find out that alone time for us is going to permanent sooner than later, and so why not take time now to find out what we like to do together sans the kids!?
I love you Diana!
Date days are way fun. (: How awesome that you guys got so much quality time together!
It's been way too long since Mark and I have done a session at the temple, it's ridiculous. I mean, it's 5 minutes away.
So glad we got to hang out last night and go shopping. (: It's always so much fun!
Great packages and a great date day/night. Jessie's frames are so freakin' cute it hurts.
