We stayed the night at Lou's parents this Friday and spent most of Saturday there also. We planned on going to Pres. Hinckley's Viewing on Friday night but we didn't get to Salt Lake until after 6 and we thought they were strict about closing the doors at 7. We later found out that it was open until past midnight. Oh well. I was pretty disappointed at first but my sister Sandi told me think of it this way Diana, you'll remember him being vibrant and alive instead of laying in a coffin. So I've been trying to do that. We also were going to go to the funeral but we didn't end up going to sleep until about 2:00 AM so needless to say when the alarm went off at 5:30 I stood out of bed felt awful and went right back to sleep! Again, I feel bad about missing it but it was nice to watch in a warm house surrounded by family. Missing these events however that I did want to attend made me think that I need to be more assertive with what I want to do in life and get it done. I've actually been thinking that way since President Hinckley's death, how he was just a man yet he was able to get so much done through his hard work and his faith in the Lord. I don't want to live life passively. I want to enjoy it, be successful and make the world around me a better place.
Ok you may be wondering why we were up till nearly 2 in the morning. The answer is Rock Band. Lou's Dad bought the game Rock band a few weeks ago and this was our first shot at playing it. Let me tell you it is so much fun and really addicting. I probably enjoyed the vocals the most but the guitar and drums were great too. Lou really rocked on the bass guitar. I can't wait to go back up there or to go to Robin's house and play again.
Nothing much else to report on, except poor Kira is still sick. Not nearly as bad but she is still terribly congested and has a sad little cough.

That's a great lesson to take from his life, I think he will be inspiring people for a long time. Now he's with his Marjorie and I'm sure happy.
I haven't played Rock band yet but I have stayed up late playing guitar hero, good times!
We definitely need to get you guys over here for some Rock Band. (: TOO FUN!
And honestly...I had no desire to go to Pres. Hinckley's viewing for that very reason - remembering him being vibrant and alive. Though I do wish I had been able to watch the funeral (: So many lessons to be learned from such a great man...
I hope Kira is feeling better, what a bummer! Poor thing - it seems like she has been sick more than her fair share this winter :(
Oh, my brother has rock band and it is some serious fun. Love it, I see why you were up so late.
The funeral was amazing. It was so nice to listen to it. sorry you did not get to actually go down there. I love the snow pic that you posted. It looks so cold but as a kid that did not matter if you were having fun. I hope Kira is better soon. We seriously need to find a way to hang sometime
