Mother's Day

Mother' s Day was fantastic. I had such a good day. Lou and the kids spoiled me rotten. We had a nice day at church. I got a new calling that I am really nervous about but I can say what since some people in our ward read this and well I won't be sustained until next week or the following. The ward gave us a CD for mother's day. The music on it is really pretty. Lou took care of the kids all day so after lunch he put them down for naps and I took a nap myself. I talked to my Mom and got nice presents so what more can a girl ask for plus the Jazz beat the Lakers so all was well on Sunday.
Lou got me such cute shoes for mother's Day and a phone. So now I will have long distance during the day... yippee!
Kira got me a Princess tea set. Lou asked her what she wanted to get me and that is what she came up with. Josh gave me hot wheels. I love that the kids gave me presents that they would want. I love that Lou let them buy them. I think it is good so they will always be thoughtful with their giving and not just assume Mom or Dad will take care of it.
I am so grateful for Kira and Josh and that they give me the opportunity to be a Mom. I am also grateful to my Mom and Mother-in-law for the wonderful examples they've been to me especially my Mom who raised me. I am grateful to my sisters who alway go through things first so that I can learn from them. I am also grateful to to my wonderful friends who are always helping me become a better person and mom. Most of all I am grateful to Louis who without I wouldn't be a mom and who makes my job as a mom so much easier since he is the best husband and Dad. Seriously I some times feel like Heavenly Father must have known that I would need a lot of help, that he knows my weaknesses so well and knew I would have quite a few deficiencies when it came to motherhood because Lou does so much for me and the kids more than I've seen any man do for their kids.

Cute sandals! I'm glad you had such a great day! Mine wasn't so great, but I already spilled that little fact to the young women in my ward (I know totally inappropriate!) so I don't think I'll go into that too much here or over on my blog!

Ooo, I love the sandals! Man...I really wish I could wear sandals to work...it's going to suck once the real heat starts settling in! I could wear my flip flops year round ;)

Sounds like you had a good day! Cute sandals. I am so surprised, not even a mention of the Jazz game! Wasn't that a good present for you?
