Joshy is a very lucky boy because he gets to share his birthday with his Nana. Joshy's mom is very lucky because she'll always remember when Nana's birthday is and how old she is since Nana was 50 when Joshy was born. The last couple of years we have been able to celebrate their birthdays together since Nana and Gramps live in Salt Lake. This year was a blast. We all went to Snowbird and rode on the alpine slide, the zipline and the bungee trampoline, the kids also jumped in the castle. We all had so much fun, the weather was perfect (not too hot) and the scenery up at Snowbird is just gorgeous. We rode the tallest chairlift and then walked the rest of the way up to the tallest point where the tram is and rode the tram down the mountain. As we were hiking up and then waiting for the tram I was taken aback by how beautiful my surroundings were. I believe growing up in Utah I take for granted the mountains, the trees and all the nature we enjoy within driving distance. After snowbird we went back to the house to open presents and have a BBQ. We didn't get home until late but it was well worth a late bedtime for the kids for the fun that we had together as a family.
Let me tell you about my little 3 year old. Joshy is the calmest, cutest nicest little boy. I don't think Joshy has every really caused me any stress by his behavior. Joshy is always trying to make us laugh and smile. He loves to make funny faces and say funny things. Joshy loves to copy whatever Kira is doing and loves to play with his sister all day. Joshy can be shy around people other than his family and close friends but he is now very good at going to nursery and his speach class by himself. From pictures many people might think Joshy is chubby like Kira but his cheeks are quite deceiving that way as they are the only chubby thing on his little body. Joshy is very small for his age, he is still one of the smallest kids in nursery despite being in the oldest class. I think while Kira's body type is more like Lou's, Joshy's is like mine. Joshy can occupy himself for hours by playing with a truck or a doggy. Those are his favorite things in the world, trucks (or cars) and dogs. Kira got Joshy a little plastic fisher-price dog for his birthday (the cheapest of all his presents) and it is by far the toy he has played with the most. I love my little Joshy and I feel grateful that I get to be his mom.

Happy birthday our sweet Joshy! Just for an example of how cute and small josh is, samuel is 1 1/2 years old and Josh and him are the same size!!
So cool that they share a birthday!! It sounded like you guys had so much fun celebrating. Joshy sure is a cute little guy (:
My mom shares her birthday with one of my nephews too! The past 5 years my parents have been able to come out here to celebrate the big day with him, and I love it - bonus time with the parents is always a welcome thing ;)
How much fun! Happy birthday, Joshy!
