Lou the Artisan.

When I married Lou I had no idea of some of his talents. Lou is a modest man who never will brag about himself. One talent that really surprised me when I found out is Lou's wood working talent. We had been married about 2 months he had left his job at Circuit City and was looking for a new job. We were in one of the computer labs at BYU and I was looking for jobs nothing was really grabbing our attention and I saw one for cabinet maker, The pay (at the time) was pretty good and I said too bad you don't know how to build cabinets this job looks pretty cool. Lou responded I know how to build cabinets I did it for 3 years in Boise. I was so suprised I thought how cool I have my own Charles Ingalls. I was even more surprised when I was able to see some of the work he did. Lou of course got the cabinet job because also one of Lou's talents is that he is a great people person. People just tend to love Lou, he makes a great first impression and continues impressing. So to my point, Lou built and carved a frame for me. We received a wood shutter from Lou's parents when they were in Singapore. a little bit later we received some paintings from them we hadn't gotten them framed because of the expense. A couple of months ago we were talking about the paintings and Lou while looking at the shutter said hey I bet I can build frames to match that shutter and sure enough Lou did it and did it brillantly.

That's amazing! My dad can do stuff like that and before I was married I naively assumed that every man could. . . .
