A couple of firsts the last little bit.
Thursday I had to work at the Women's Soccer Game. Usually I love my job, stand around and get paid to watch sports however Thursday was the first time I did not enjoy the event I went to. I'm not a huge soccer person, I went to one game while in Mexico and it was really exciting so I thought this game might be too, however it was not. All I could think about was that it was cold and I could be at home in my warm house watching The Office with Lou and Robin. I did however scored a free shades tee-shirt. The cheerleaders were throwing them out to the crowd. I asked one of the cheerleaders for one so he snuck me one. It's a size x x large so I'll have to exchange it but still very cool for a very miserable work night.
Kira had her first Primary program on Sunday. Kira did absolutely wonderful. Kira's line was I am a Child of God and He has a plan for me. At practice on Saturday she did it exactly like that. On Sunday she said that and then added her testimony of how Heavenly Father answers our prayers. She shared two stories of when she prayed and Heavenly Father answered them. I was quite surprised and impressed. Kira has so much confidence. I would not be surprised if that girl ends up being General Relief Society President or some other calling like that some day. Every opportunity she gets to share her testimony she does.
One other first is I went to a Zumba class at the gym yesterday. My friend invited me I was nervous because it's different Latin dance (ie salsa, cha cha etc...) and well I'm not that good of a dancer. But I hadn't been to the gym much since my surgery so I thought it would be fun to go with a friend and well the worse that happens is I make a fool of myself. I am so glad I went. It was so much fun. I did good too, the teacher was great at explaining the steps and most of it I was comfortable with from aerobic classes. It was so much fun. So we're going to go next week too. The friend I went with is in my ward she is from Mexico. I've enjoyed getting to be better friends with her over the summer . It's fun to talk in Spanish ( although we mostly talk in English) and talk about Mexico and Mexicans. she has a girl Kira's age and a boy a year younger. than Joshy.
I know there was another first this week but I can't seem to remember.

awesome! i'd love to do a zumba class but would have to drive an hour to get to one! (: Maybe I'll be brave next time I'm at your house and go with you... (: I've never been too talented at dancing, but I LOVE to do it and would love to learn more about it.
Good job Kira! Your sweet little spirit is so amazing and I know you will be a great example to others in your life.
Love you!
How are you feeling by the way?
Those Primary program moments can be rewarding--or at the very least entertaining--for a parent. How sweet that she would share her testimony and experiences in addition to remembering her assigned part!
Never heard of Zumba, but it sounds fun!
Sounds like it has been an amazing week.
What a sweet girl Kira is to always want to share her testimony. WHat a comfort that is to a parent.
Zumba does sound fun.
