My Birthday

I have been 32 now for a week and one day. I must say I like being 32. I don't look 32, I have a perfect husband, great kids, a great family and great friends. Life is almost exactly where I thought I would be when I was young and pictured myself at 32. They only difference is I thought we'd be in a house. I guess thats what I get for marrying someone two years younger than me, and having him graduate right before the start of a recession.
My birthday is great. I felt spoiled all week long. I must admit that I LOVE my birthday. For my Gilmore Girl friends out there. I would love to be like Loralei the episode where she celebrates her birthday all week and Rori ends up throwing her that huge party with the giant pizza. I just think its so fun to celebrate yourself.
The highlights of my birthday include going to the Jazz game the day before my birthday. I got tickets for free from 1320 KFAN. (local sports radio) back in November. I went Lou and his parents. It was a lot of fun. It was a fun game to watch and they won.



On my actual birthday Lou came home for lunch and brought me my favorite pizza, Nicolitalias. He had them shape the pepperoni in the #32.

The kids were perfect all day. Kira had a busy day with preschool and dance. Joshy didn't want to be woken up from his nap when we had to leave for dance. I basically had the afternoon to myself with Joshy napping and Kira at preschool. Joshy fell asleep near his door. He wouldn't wake up for me and finally when the door bell rang while I was trying to wake him up he woke up. Who was at the door, a local girl scout brining me my thin mint cookies. Another great birthday surprise! This is how I found him when I went to wake him up.
Lou is so thoughtful on my birthday. He took the kids to get my present and my cake. He bought me a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. So we fed the kids and then had cake. I opened up my presents after cake (backwards I know but just easier that way so the kids could be in their jammies with brushed teeth ready to go to bed as soon as I was done opening presents). I was a very spoiled girl this year. Lou bought me a Wii Fit. Lets just say I love it. I have used it nearly every day since my birthday. That was my big present. The kids then got me a wii fit headband and wristbands and a wii fit journal. It was a Wii fit birthday!






Later that night my friend Robin came over to watch the Office which was great to see a great friend on my birthday and a new episode of the Office. On Sunday we had a family dinner with Lou's parents and grandparents. We had a barbecue it was a lot of fun.
