Then Saturday came and it was a fantastic day. The children attended a birthday party, my friend Abigail goes all out for birthday parties so I knew it was going to be a blast. We still don't have our car done yet (Lou hopefully gets it done tonight so we can have it tomorrow his friend was out of town all weekend, thus the delay) so my friend Kristin said we could ride with her to the birthday party. I had so much fun talking with Kristin at the birthday party. The kids were entertained the whole time so that left 2 hours for me and Kristin to talk.
Kristin and I have known each other for years. About 5 years to be exact but its really only been in the last 6 months that we have really become close friends. Every Tuesday we have a movie night with some of our friends, its honestly one of the most favorite parts of the week. Its so fun to have planned girl time.
Kristin is also the queen of throwing parties and game nights. Kristin will have game night at her house a couple of times a month on Sunday evenings. Its such a nice way to end the week. Its also nice that Lou gets along well with the husbands of my friends in my movie night/game night friends.
Kristin also had us over for Easter dinner with all of the other friends that didn't have anywhere to go. It was fun. It felt natural spending a holiday with such close friends.
Back to Saturday, when we left for the birthday party. Lou left for a LAN party. I was a little sad about that since we've hardly seen him in the past weeks because of how busy he's been with the car and at work.
Luckily for me like I said earlier I've been blessed with such good friends. Once the kids were in bed my BFF Robin came over. Robin and I always have such a nice time, its always so relaxing to hang out with my friend Robin. Before Robin arrived at my house she went to Burger Supreme. Burger Supreme, a good movie and hours of talking afterwards make for a very fun evening.
I just feel so lucky to have such good friends in my life. It takes me awhile to get close to people but once I do watch out you'll have a friend forever :)
The only down thing about this weekend was the Jazz loss to the Lakers. But I didn't expect them to win and they deserve to play them in the first round after the monumental collapse they had the last month of the season. But this post is about friendships and well really am I friends with Jazz...no.
So Jazz aside it was a fantastic weekend!

I feel blessed to be your friend too! Glad you have such great girls in your life-it makes a huge difference. Looking forward to seeing pics of your car too! Love you!
Drat! And I was so going to call you on your blah Friday because we didn't see Kira/you at dance class Thurs, and because that is usually our play day too... *sigh* Guess I blew my chance of making it into your friend post. :)>
oh Alyssa that would have been so nice. Sorry you didn't make this post but you know you are one of my bestest friends.
Good friends are just good! I am so glad Lou was able to do the LAN thing too- they had so much fun! I hope they can do it more often, I had a great night as well while they were gone :)
I agree! I don't know where I would be without all of the beautiful people who bless my life!
Yes....having friends make all the difference. Sorry about the Jazz. I'm always torn because my hubby is such a Laker fan. You're so awesome.
I'm not a basketball fan at all, but I really did think of you the other morning when I was listening to AM radio news while getting ready and heard that the Jazz had lost. I knew you would be sad!
I want to be your friend so I can go to Burger Supreme and watch movies! Sounds like fun.
