The Good The Bad and the Tired

The good:
1. Sharon came for a visit this past week. She had to split her time with us and her in-laws in Salt Lake but it was so fun to see her. After us having one busy day and me not responding well to it at all (tired, sick etc) we spent the rest of her days laying low at my house. We would play Skipbo on our Nintendo DS's and watch Gilmore Girls. This was the first time Sharon was introduced to Gilmore Girls. I so love sharing TV shows that I love. I'm glad that she loved it too. Sharon's little boy Samuel and my Kira and Josh had a lot of playing with each other. Samuel just loved playing outside with the neighbor's dog and loved that he could just go outside whenever he watned. We only saw Kiara, Indigo and Rich for a day but it was great. Kira loved having her girl cousins here and we all had fun going out to eat to Five Guys. I'm sad that we only get to see Sharon and her family maybe once or twice a year but it makes the visits all that more special.
2. Learning once again what an amazing husband I have. Lou has done so much for me this last month. He makes dinner, takes care of the kids when he gets home, tidies things up when I don't have the energy to do my daily cleaning. He is just the best!
3. Lou and I went to a dinner with the Tifie Humanatarian society. I wrote a blog about it for Jazzbots. If you haven't read it yet you can read about it here It was an amazing evening that really touched my heart. It made me want to be a more caring charitable person. I know that Lou are being prepared for something great. I just feel like service is going to be a big part of our future. I know however that we need to serve no matter what our circumstances are. The founder of the charity. Robert Workman (the CEO of Provo Arts and Crafts) said something so simple that I've heard a lot but had such an impact on me. He said you need to give even a little now when you don't think you can so you get in the habit of giving. I thought thats so true, Its not like you all of the sudden will want to give just because you have money. we pay our tithes but there are other good causes out there. I think we are learning to live such a tight budget right now so we are so good at managing our money so in the future if we can we will be able to help out. I always here you have more expenses the more money you have so no matter what you need to live on some kind of budget. I think its good we have to watch every penny so that we will even when our pennies can buy more :)
The Bad/The Tired::
1. I am tired all the time. Some times I don't have the energy to walk up and down the stairs. I however am happy that we know why and its getting taken care of it just takes time. In two weeks we can go back to the doctor and up my dosage for my thyroid.
2. I hate being tired and sick. I feel like I can't do anything for anyone which makes me feel just awful inside. My friend has been taking Kira to and from school. Lou has been making dinners and putting the kids to bed. Joshy pretty much just does whatever he wants when Kira is at school because I'm too tired to play with him and sometimes too tired to take him up for his nap. I know its sad.
3. BYU lost to Florida State. It was their first loss at home in 18 games. I haven't ever worked a football game where we lost. It was a very strange feeling in the stadium.

So hopefully I'll be writing more and commenting more on blogs. I really miss it.

Diana, Your family is beautiful - (yes, Lou, even you) - somehow we need to find a way to see you guys in person before the kids evolve into whoever they'll become shortly, as we know kids (and us, only over longer periods of time) do evolve. In the meantime, I hope you and/or Sharon took alot of photos that will be shared with us.
Yes, Diana, not feeling 'up to par' or at times, anywhere close, is a drag, yet as we know, we need to, and can, deal with whatever life, in it's infinite wisdom (or whimsy) decides to confront us with. Re: BYU vs FSU - my heart in one, my tax $$$S in the other, was not even a toss-up - BYU 'Rise All Loyal Cougars...' Alas , the football team did not - the guy in the wheel-chair did (keep us informed of any subsequent events). Again, great great picture - the kids, and you adorable!! (No, Lou, you don't fit the adorable category as Diana, Josh, Kira do).

I love your family picture! Hang in there. Being tired sucks but hopefully the doctors can correct all that. I love how Lou is taking good care you.

I'm so glad you had a good time with your sister. What a blessing that she got to visit. Sorry that you're not feeling well. I hope you do better soon. My team lost too.
