Busy Week

Feels like we've been non-stop all week.
  • Josh got into the full-day Kindergarten! Josh however does not start full day until later this week. Josh had a mini-session the first day. Josh did great. He was obedient, answered questions when asked.. Just perfect! Josh then went to school for 2 hours the rest of the week. It was a little much because Kira had early out all week (8:40-1:30) Josh went from 8:40-10:45 so it felt like I was back and forth.
  • Josh had his Kindergarten check-up on Friday. Little Josh was in the 1st percentile for hight (meaning 99% of kids his age are taller than him) and the 2nd percentile for weight. Josh did so well. He didn't cry except right when the needle poked him for his shots. After a hug from me he was just fine.
  • We've been making good friends and have had fun walking to and from school with them. Or talking under the "mom tree" waiting for the kids to get out of school. Lots of playing after school including a fun trip to the surf and slurp for snow cones with our new friend Jen and her girls.
  • BYU football season has begun! I had training, the pep rally and the actual game on Saturday. I love it. My job is great. Plus BYU won which makes the game a lot more fun to work.
  • I had book club with my good friends Robin and Bridget. I love those girls. We met at Barnes and Noble and just caught up ( it was a busy summer where we neglected our books). I love that we talk and talk and never get bored of each other.
We love the business. I think life will keep getting busier and busier. Although having 7 hours to myself everday will be quite the change and maybe I won't feel so busy during those hours.

Some pictures from Joshy's birthday on Aug. 16th

The kids are adorable and so cute dressed in identical clothes...love the photo of them hugging each other. School beginnings are so exciting, for the kids, and for you as you explore your time sans kids. Enjoy.

Whoops, my 'old' eyes were tricked - the clothes are NOT identical but similiar in style yet differing colors & design..and look so cute on them..

I love the Fireplace wall color!!!
Man, Josh is getting so old... Not nice, tell him to quit it! :)

I also love the picture of Kira and Josh hugging, They are so cute with each other!

The mom tree sounds like a great place to meet, catch up and wait for the kids to get out of school! That is the greatness of going to a neighborhood school... Good choice Diana.
