Sweet Sixteen Baby!

That picture pretty much captures my emotions about BYU making into the Sweet 16.  Honestly, I can't remember the last time I was this excited/happy with anything sports related.  Its extra sweet since BYU had struggled since Davies was suspended.  Many "experts" picked an upset in the first round with BYU losing to Wofford.  Then when they struggled against Wofford nearly EVERY expert picked BYU lose to Gonzaga. But they didn't lose, they won and they won big!  I feel close to this team since I've worked EVERY home game of Jimmer's BYU career, his Freshman season was my first year working at the games.  I know Florida will be a tough game, but we beat them last year so there is hope! I watched the game at home with Lou and the kids (until they went to bed)  I seriously couldn't stop jumping up and down with every Jimmer 3.  I loved that the whole team played well. It was such a fun fun game to watch.

sorry its blurry but I promise I look like my sweet 16 year old self

After the game Lou and I had a birthday party to go to. It kind of fit into the sweet 16 theme.  A very fun woman in our ward planned a party for her husband's 35th birthday.  Now this just wasn't any party it was a Prom. It was at the church. It was such a blast. Our friend, thought of every detail, right down to chapstick on the tables for "later" the type of music, the whole cultural hall was decorated just like a high school dance! The refreshments were great too. Many people dressed like it was Prom, I don't have any of my old school dance dresses and couldn't find anything :(  Dancing with Lou was so fun, we haven't really done it that much. Dancing with friends in the ward was also fun.    Just a great great night.  And Lou was the best date I ever had take me to a dance. Bonus is we didn't have to say goodbye at the door, with my Dad flashing the porch light!

You crack me up. I recently had to google 'Jimmer'. That's how out of the loop I am.
Who threw the party? That sounds so fun and thoughtful and time-consuming, and I could think of nothing timm would hate more for any of his birthdays.
Oh yeah, I just forgot you are no longer in our old ward and I don't know anyone in your new ward!
(Still want to see pictures of your house!)
