34 Things about Lou!

Today was Lou's birthday! I am so blessed to have Lou in my life.  Its hard to believe we have celebrated 13 of his birthdays together! That's a teenagers life worth! This year has made me appreciate Lou so much more than I ever had and I feel like I've always felt pretty grateful for Lou.

Lou came home late Friday night and had to leave again for Boise around 5:30 this evening.  It was a short visit but we will take whatever we can get of Lou. The kids just love when he is home, they hardly even pay attention to me, but I am fine with that.

We celebrated Lou's birthday by going to the Hogle Zoo as a family. We realized last week that the kids hadn't been to the Zoo since Joshy was one!  (besides a trip to Zoo Lights but that's a little different even then I think Josh was only 3 or 4)

I love doing things together as our cute little family of four.  Les Schwab tires has discount tickets for the zoo, so the kids were able to get in free with our ticket purchase. We saved $20, score!

We had a blast at the zoo together. I think my favorite exhibit was Rocky Shores, it was all the bears. Usually the elephants are my favorite but the bears won out this visit. I especially loved watching the grizzly bears swim in the water.

The kids were a lot of fun and they did not complain about the heat even once!  They don't have the train running but they do have a carousel.

Of course we had to drink out of the Lion's water fountain. (That is in fact the only lion we saw, I guess with the zoo building the new African Safari they don't have lions right now)

I am glad we did something different (for us) for Lou's birthday and something he loves, Lou loves animals very much.

Lou is my very favorite person. I am so glad he was born and made his way into my life.

I never knew he liked to read. Or pretty much any of the things you wrote about him and animals. Nice.

And I agree, you got quite a catch Diana!
