"Stockton for three... YES John Stockton sends the Utah Jazz to the NBA Finals!!!"
The best shot in Jazz history. Dad and I watched the game in our basement, Mom and Mary were up stairs, they didn't like to watch important Jazz games with us because Dad and I made too many comments. As the ball was released from Stockton's hands and went into the basket, Dad and I jumped up and down, hugged each other, all the while we couldn't stop cheering. The Moyes (our neighbors) began to let off fireworks so soon all of our neighbors were outside their houses gathered in the circle cheering for the Jazz. Ah the memories.
The best Jazz game however was the game against the Bulls in the Salt Palace. Stockton stole the ball from the legendary Michael Jordon to beat the Bulls in triple overtime. I loved that game, it was so long, I got to stay up later than usual on a school night and my favorite player John Stockton was the hero.
One of my greatest childhood memories includes the Utah Jazz. It was going to the NBA Jam session at the Salt Palace with my Dad. I don't know how I conviced my Dad to drive me down there on a snowy snowy day in February but some how I did and we built memories to last a lifetime. Seeing NBA players live, participating in All-Star events it was all so much fun.
Thanks for the Jazz memories Dad.
Now its a different time with different players. Lou and I went to a Jazz game on New Years eve. An exciting game were Okur and Kirelinko were the heros. Last night's win against the Lakers put the Jazz at .500 for the season. who would have ever guessed that they'd be leading their divison with a .500 record. The Jazz are different from the past but still fun and maybe more fun to watch since you never know who is going to do what. It's not just "Stockton to Malone" anymore.

Yes, Thanks for the memories Diana. The snow was so bad (How DID you convince me ??) downtown SLC, we couldn't make it up the slight incline and finally parked at Key Bank, walked over thru the Marriot where we saw your cousin Brady, and then on to !!NBA ALLSTAR Event # 1!!
I'm so glad your Jazz (Are they as good as the Magic??)tradition continues with Lou Love Dad
yes the Jazz actually have a better record than the Magic. The Jazz are 17-17 and the Magic are 13-18.
