Kira Grace turned 3 yesterday! We had a very busy weekend between Lou's graduation(I'll have to post about that soon, I'll have to get pics from Lou's dad since our camera was left at home) Saturday morning/afternoon we had a birthday party for Kira and some of her friends. Only 2 of the friends we invited weren't able to come so I thought the turnout was pretty good. Our theme was Winnie the Pooh, as you can tell by the decorations and the cake. It was a pretty layed back, I bought a little golf set, bubbles and balls and let the kids do their own thing. When I tried to organize a game it didn't really work since all of the kids were 2 or 3. I think the kids had a lot of fun playing with each other. Kira got a lot of really nice presents, my favoirte is one that Alyssa made for Kira. remember awhile back when I posted about making a sign for Kira's room (Kira's thoughtful spot) well Alyssa made that sign for Kira. The party was about 2 hours or so I think that's perfect for a 3 year old.
Sunday we had a family party with Lou's parents and brother Mark. (although they also came and helped out a lot with the Saturday friends party). WE had a barbecue and I made lime cheesecake for Kira's 2nd birthday cake. AFter the barbecue Kira opened her presents, although she was pretty distracted from her new bike. She'd open a present and then run back to her bike (from my parents) then open another present and run back to the bike.
All and all it was a great weekend. I love having Kira in my family, she is a very sweet, kind and loving little girl. I know all moms think this but I couldn't ask for a better daughter.

Kira's face looking at her new bike is priceless. Good catch on that.
