Yesterday we had Stake Conference I must be honest for a week I've been thinking about how I don't really want to go, now I realize that's not a great attitude to have. Well Saturday night Lou and I were talking about what we wanted to do (not good to do when you're tired) but eventually our good sides prevalied and decided of course we need to go to Stake Conference. Well I said a prayer that I would get something out of it that the kids would be good. Guess waht my prayer was answered. I got so much out of this conference things that I was wondering about or just needed to hear. The kids did so well, they weren't perfect (the last half hour was a little hard) but they did so well. Joshy sat on my lap 90% of the time (he's not a lap sitter so that was amazing) they ate their snacks Kira looked at her books (we did had to read to her some) and all was well. We even got to sit next to Robin and Mark.
Well if all goes according to how we think it will we'll end up staying in Provo. I love it. I know there are good reasons to leave Utah but right now it feels right to stay here. Lou's job offered him a full time position, the pay will increase substantially in about 6 months and because it's a state job the benefits are amazing. Here's the real blessing in disguise. UVSC is turing into a university in teh summer of 08. They have to have their masters programs set within a year. Lou being a full time employee at that time would be able to get his masters degree for free! If you're a full time employee of the university tution if free. How wonderfulwould it be if Lou was able to have his MBA payed for. That would be great not that I'm looking forward to more school but if he wants any decent job now a days he needs his MBA.

Congrats Lou, and Diana. As a retired State employee, I've always appreciated the benefits Utah government offered in addition to being state of the art - leading edge technology in my systems & analysis & operations management responsibilities. I was always proud to be an employee of the State of Utah and representing the state at the many conferences I was fortunate to attend (All in GREAT locations: San Diego, SanFrancisco, New Orleans, Las Vegas, DisneyWorld Orlando, New York/Connecticut, etc.) I found it an environment cognizant and rewarding of productivity and contributory. (And a very nice method of getting my State Income Taxes back!!)
Good for you guys.
Great that you'll be staying in Utah (one less location that we have to visit when trying to see family!). I think our family should decide on one state where we will all try to eventually end up. Maybe Utah?
