Amazing sight right? A little girl who is afraid of puppies and kitties on a horse. When Annie and Luke were here,we met them up at Gardner's Village in Salt Lake. Luke was tired of the stores so Annie said she would take him to ride a horse. Well little Kira who hears everything heard that and said she had to go too. I was a little worried I didn't want her to discourage Luke by crying once she actually saw the horse (I was just assuming seeing how she reacts to puppies) So I told her no but she really wanted to go, so Nana said she would take her. Kira loved it! I didn't love the allergies I had the rest of the day (just from Kira I didn't go with them to the horse) but I'm happy she got to ride a horse. Well later that day Kira and I were playing out front while Joshy napped and a little robin a cute little bird flew and landed on the grass about 15 ft from Kira and she screamed she ran to me, had me hold her and she was literally shaking. I calmed her down told her robins are nice and they won't hurt her. We sang the song "In the Leafy Treetops". Kira calmed down but kept a safe distance from all the other birds we saw.
Well today was hilarious, a girl who rides on a horse is afraid of a fly. Kira, Josh and I were eating lunch when all of the sudden Kira screams and covers her face. I wondered, whats going on when I noticed a fly. Kira screaming got Josh afraid of the fly. I tried to calm them down but there was no doing it, anytime the fly came close to either of them they would scream or cry. Joshy would lay his head down on his tray and just shake. So I tried to kill the fly but I'm not so good at it so I couldn't catch it, I tried opening the door to see if it would fly out, no such luck. Eventually I just told them lunch time was over and put them down for their naps. While laying Kira down I had to assure her the fly would not get in her room or hurt her. Geez... what's a mom to do!

This is hilarious- I can't even imagine them both screaming over a little house fly.
Glad you got a picture of her on the horse though- and good thing you are blogging all this because some day when she is not afraid of birds and kittens she won't believe you that she was.
So cute! I would have died laughing about the whole fly situation. Proud of her for riding a horse, too. Way to go Kira! Your kids are so cute & fun & you are a great mama! Love you!
Kaitlin is afrad of everything, too. Wel, she loves dogs, and she'll finally touch them. But everything else from bugs, to sounds outside her window to self flushing toilets, she's afraid of them. The other day at the gym they taught about strangers in the childcare area. Now she's afraid of people she doesn't know, although I suppose that could be a good thing. . .
Diana- Kira is so funny! I love the picture of her on the horse. I am glad that she wasn't afraid of something so big, but funny that she was afraid of something so small!
Have a great day!
