Kira has always been one to make me laugh. Ever since she was a young baby she has had a lot of things to say. When Kira was a baby although it was just babbling we knew she had something to say, she had a purposeful tone to her babbles, would look us straight in the eyes , use her hands and basically did everything she could to communicate with us. Kira still has a lot of things to say yesterday she had a couple of gems that I had to write down in my journal because I didn't want to forget and I thought everyone might enjoy them.
During breakfast while eating a banana. Kira looking very carefully at the banana says "Mom, bananas have peels to help us keep clean. If it didn't have a peel our hands would get dirty, the table would get dirty, things would just be dirty. I like the peel to keep clean but not to eat"
While walking home from visiting our friend Kristin who just had her 3rd child. Kaleb is 3 (a month older than Kira) Ethan is 2 ( 3 months younger than Joshy) and now Jared who was born on Sunday night. Kira asks me in a questioning voice, Mom so they get to keep Ethan? Me: Yes of course Kristin loves Ethan" Kira: But really they're allowed to keep him. Me assuringly tells her yes. Kira: oh so they can have 2 babies. It's alright to have two babies, so when are you going to have another baby. Me: yes it's ok to have 2 babies but Heavenly Father likes our family the way it is.
Yesterday at work I had something funny happen. I was talking to one of the young girls that I work with. She was pretty surprised that I have 2 kids. So she asked me, wow you go to school, work and take care of your kids. I told her I had already graduated and I almost said I don't work. In my mind I thought why does she think I work, I don't have a job, I don't work. Then I realized before I opened my mouth oh she means this job, I guess I do work.
Last but not least I had a funny dream last night. I had a dream that Lou was friends with Matthew Fox (aka Jack Shepard from Lost). Anyways Matthew was at our house just hanging out and he started to tell us about this new show he was in and how excited he was about it but not as excited he was about Lost. He told us how he thinks the episodes they taped before the writers strike were their best yet. Then he pulled out an accordion book (type of scrap book) and showed me all these pictures of him, Kate, and Sawyer filming Lost together. That's it that was my dream.
Just thought I'd share some of the funny happenings around here.
