Yum Yum Yum

Many of you know that Lou and I have lived along 5th West in Provo for all the years that we've been married (nearly 7). There has been a Mexican restaurant across the street or next to us (in our first place) the entire time. Now the restaurant has closed numerous times for the 7 years that we lived here so I've always been nervous to eat there. Which in all reality is silly since I didn't care what I hate on my mission or my study abroad. Well finally on Monday Lou and I decided to check the restaurant out it's been open for over a year now so we thought it must be save. Let me tell you as soon as we walked in I felt like I was in Mexico. It smelled like a restaurant in Mexico the menu was in Spanish and English, it was small it just felt nice. So we order our food, Lou got a burrito, I got sopitas and we ordered the kids tacos. When the waitress brought out our food I was surprised because the kids tacos only had the meat on the tortillas (small corn tortillas) it took me off guard but then I instantly recalled that's how they do it in Mexico, you put the salsa and lime and whatever else you want on it yourself. Lou tried the meat while I was getting salsa for us ( the most delicious fresh salsa that I've had in years) when I came back Lou said Diana you got to try this meat he couldn't get over how good the meat was. My sopitas were delicioso and Lou loved loved loved his burrito. As we were eating Lou said you know what the only bad part is about his restaurant I was thinking what possibly could be bad about his place I love this place. He said that we've lived 2 minutes from it for the past 7 years and we've never eaten here until today. So if you want authentic amazing Mexican food it's called Guanajuato Tacos y Mariscos. It's on the corner of 8th North and 5th West in Provo.
We also discovered an amazing Pizzaria last Saturday it's called Nicolitalia Pizzeria. It is owned by a man from Boston named Nick. He was super nice and acted like he knew us for years when we came in. It reminded me of the pizzerias my parents would take us to when we'd visit New York and all the owners were so kind and remembered my parents. The pizza was delicious and the service was fabulous. Next time we get pizza we're definitely going there or ordering from there instead of some chain.
So here's to good food.

Mmmm sounds good! It's dinner time here so reading that post makes me want some pizza! There is a good place here called Brunos. They have been here a long time with a very small menu and they are busy every night. To good food!

A guy Ryan use to work with owns that Mexican place, he says it's really good. Also I love that pizza place, there salad dressing is to die for. Now I'm craving it, it's been a while since we've eaten there.

I have seen that Mexican restaurant but never thought to try it- will have to give it a go if we are in the area.
