Almost a month ago now my Uncle Bob (my Dad's older brother) was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. The tumor he has is inoperable. He starts chemo today. The doctors only give him a few months to live.
This has hit our family hard. Everyone loves and likes Uncle Bob. He has always been the friendly nice uncle. I have gotten to know him well the last few years going to his house every week to sew with Aunt Claire. He also goes to a lot the basketball games at BYU where I got to talk to him.
Such hard news to digest.
Kira turned 6 on April 29th. She had a great Birthday. I will do a birthday post with lots of pictures. A few days after her birthday she lost her first tooth. Look how cute she is!
Kira had to memorize a nursery rhyme for school. Kira memorized "Hey Diddle Diddle.." Kira did such a fantastic job. Kira's last day of school is tomorrow. The year has gone by fast. I'll do a post summarizing the highlights :)
A week from today Kira gets her gigantic tonsils out.
There are just a few of the things that have been going on in our live that last few weeks.

Oh, Diana. I'm sorry about your uncle. I just lost an uncle that I loved very much. It is a hard thing.
Kira looks adorable! Daniel keeps asking me when he is going to lose a tooth.
I can't believe school is out for her already! Daniel still has a couple of weeks. Hooray for summer!
