St George

Lou took Thursday and Friday off work we pulled the kids out of school and headed South.  We  never get away so it was a fun change of pace.

It took us just about 3 hours to get there. Such a short drive for a fun fun fun time!  Lou's parents recently bought a 2nd home down there, they invited us down to check it out.  We are so excited to have it close by!

The first day we hung out a lot and then found a place to watch the BYU game (sad).  We had fun that night after the kids went to bed playing Phase Ten. We laughed our heads off.

Friday we went to the outlets didn't see much but we bought the kids a shirt each. Josh got an AWESOME Star Wars shirt.  Our best purchase was 4 bouncy balls from a huge gumball machine at Old Navy.   The house doesn't have furniture yet and the living room is all tile. We had a blast playing with our balls all weekend.  seriously the best dollar we have ever spent.  We also went to the Tortoise Reserve, we didn't see any tortoises but we had fun climbing on the rocks.  That night we enjoyed Brick Oven Pizza. Grandma and Grandpa Allen joined us that night too. We once again played Phase 10 even funner with Grandma and Grandpa  Best part was Grandma Allen scaring Louis to get rid of his hiccups.

Saturday we got to see Devin! We ate lunch together. We loved spending time with him. We hadn't seen him in years.  We also took a lovely walk around the neighborhood. I told the kids and lou to wear pants and a jacket. I proved to be right it rained and was cold I was the one prepared and Gramps :)


Our drive home on Saturday was an adventure. Our visibility was low due to a storm. Its funny Lou's parents were probably a half hour behind and their drive was not bad at all...crazy!!!
