Utah is such a great state to live. When the weather is nice outside it is very hard to stay inside, but we've become more use to it over the past couple years with the kids naps. However, there is a special time of day when both kids are up, the sun is shining and the world is just shouting for you to come outside and enjoy it.
Louis and I decided that every Saturday we are going to go on some type of outdoors activity. This week we decided that we would take a short hike up Rock Canyon and have a picnic with the kids. Louis carried Kira in the backpack and I carried Josh in the frontback. Besides the beautiful views and the beautiful weather, we also got a pretty good workout. Poor Kira got a little rash on her legs on the hike but it left quickly with benadryl. Other than that everything was great.

We haven't decided what we are doing next week, so if you have any suggestions, let us know.
Also if you have opinions on what is better, bike seats that attach to your bike or pulling a trailor behind your bike, we'd love to hear from you.

My suggestion for bike riding is to pull a trailer, I have a trailer, but it needs a new body. The frame is in great condition, but I don't know how much the fabric body cost. It is a Burley elite, if you want to look online and see if it is a better deal to replace the fabric or get a whole new one. If it is cheaper to get a new body, you may have ours! We loved our burley, it fits 2 children and a small cooler, it is also a stroller too (do you remember it?)
The tandem trailer is easier to pull, you can have Lou pull it and the kids don't really have the feeling of having the need to get out of it like sometimes they do in a bike seat. The only draw back is that it is low to the ground, ( but it has a good side too for safetly of crashing, since it is low to the ground, it doesn't flip over) and so it is without the flag a little more dangerous in traffic. Like I said, I loved our burley and we had both the bike seat and a burley with Devin and the burley was just more comfortable for me and Matt!
hope this helps,
love,
Sandi
Walking to the park is always a fun thing, as well as going anywhere up Provo Canyon. The flower gardens at Thanksgiving Point are awesome, and Mya enjoyed all the colors and being able to smell some flowers. You could find somewhere to feed ducks and have a little picnic. Swimming is another fun one. Lehi has a great pool, as well as AF, but the AF one is always sooo busy. PG has a concert in the park every weekend, maybe Provo does something like that as well. A lot of fairs and whatnot will be going on this summer, so possibly check city websites for info- like Strawberry Days is coming up her in PG in a couple weeks.
I wish I could get a bike trailer. Mya did not like the seat kind at all. I borrowed one and she was just wanting to get out- something kind of unusual for her. So I would go with the trailer- let me know if you find one and how much it was :)
