Our Saturday!

Today was a great day for us. Lou was able to wake up early and go play racquetball with our friend Jared. Lou had a great time even though he lost all 3 games. Jared's a great player so Lou didn't feel too bad about loosing and well Lou hasn't played since before Josh was born. Hopefully Lou will start playing more and pick up his game again. When Lou got home I rushed to the store to pick up a birthday present for Kira's friend, we got her a book and coloring book. Kira loved them both so we can only assume that Jade (Kira's friend) will love them too. Lou as soon as I got home went to the testing center to take a Stats test. Kira and I then enjoyed a relaxing breakfast where Kira ate 3 bowls (little bowls) of Kix's, half of my bowl of oatmeal, half of my bananna and then a bowl of Cheerios. Kira apparently was a very hungry little girls this morning. Josh then woke up from his morning nap and we were off to the birthday party. Kira loved the birthday party, they had a fun sprinkler and a big air jumping toy. Kira even got to ride a bike.

Lou and I had fun talking with our friends in the ward who were there. The kids when we got home took great naps after which we went to the Riverwoods and took a nice walk. I love busy Saturdays and it's always nice to take the break when the kids need a nap.
**** How were your Saturdays?*** What is everyone doing for the 4th?

I love how chubby Kira is! That suit looks cute on her. Glad your day was so productive and that Lou is able to have a little fun between work and school. My Saturdays usually consist of my MIL coming over and me getting a little free time to do whatever. Today I just lounged around because I gave blood and took a nice little nap. Usually I try to run errands or read on my porch. We are staying home for the 4th and possibly having some friends over for a BBQ or something.

Our Saturdays are usually pretty carefree. Randy mows the lawn, I do miscellaneous house projects and cleaning, and we usually take turns running errands. Today was crazy for us with the baptism, wedding, birthday party, reception, and neighbor kids. Whew. I don't like scheduled Saturdays at all.

As for the 4th, we're going to my brother's house to go swimming with all the kids then to bbq. They live high on a hill in Salt Lake so we're going to be able to watch all different fireworks from their backyard.
