Sweet little Kira got her tonsils out last Thursday. Kira has been so very good. I can't remember the last time she was this quiet :)
On Thursday we had to be at the hospital at 7:15 that is quite early for our little family! Josh was watched by Lou's mom. ( Kids under 14 aren't allowed to visit at the hospital). We had a little wait when we arrived at the hospital, apparently 7:15 on a Thursday morning is a popular time to have surgery.
The hospital staff was so very good with little Kira. They all fell in love with her and really who wouldn't. They give all young kids a drug to calm them down. It made Kira pretty loopy. Kira is a pretty funny girl full of interesting thoughts when she is normal, it was pretty funny to see her loopy. The drug also made her a little dizzy so she couldn't really sit straight, she was just kind of bopping her head when sitting on the bed. She said all sorts of random stuff. Our favorite was when she heard a baby cry, she said "where are all the helicopters and firemen, we need them here to help" Don't know where that came from.
The surgery itself was short. It seemed like Lou and I just went out the waiting room when they called us back to the recovery room. Kira cried some when she was waking up from the anesthesia. Kira the rest of the day didn't complain at all. The painkiller they prescribed made her hyperactive so that wasn't too good. We are sticking to Tylenol and it seems to be working just fine.
Kira is having a hard time swallowing so the saliva builds up in her mouth which makes it hard for her to talk. Kira's little voice sounds so cute. We need to record it before we forget it.
This morning when she was eating her yogurt which she's been eating for nearly every meal since the surgery she said Mom guess what I dreamt about last night? I dreamt that I had a yogurt container that never ran out of yogurt you'd eat it and it just kept on filling back up it was never empty .

Oh, sweet little Kira! I love that she dreamed she had eternal refilling yogurt. Must be nice to be able to talk a little for her.
Give her a squeeze for me- and tell her I love her!
I have yogurt dreams like that! I LOVE yogurt! I am glad to hear that Kira is recovering well and we can't wait to see her outside and play with her again!
